The little house

The little house of straw and stone

Sat beneath a starry sky

And I wondered how a little place

could have such peace

and why?

And the little house it spoke to me

from within it's walls of white

It looked out from shuttered windows small,

but shining oh so bright

Then said

'My child it's simple, see the way to peace is clear,

My hearth remembers everything

near on two hundred year.

But no matter what event unfolds

Joy, despair or woe

My limestone walls breathe in and out so I'm able to let go'
